Neutral but warm, combinable and so versatile; greige has become a must trend in 2021. It fits in walls, textiles, renovated terraces or kitchen and bathroom furniture… this combination of grey and beige is the perfect base to build our interior design project or to give a new look to our home.
The greige, a timeless and versatile bet
One of the great advantages of greige is its ability to be combined with different decorative styles – that makes it a long-lasting bet. This tone is perfect for colder, minimalist environments, because it provides them warmth; and also for sweet decorations even with a rustic touch: greige adds its cottony touch as a reminiscence of natural fibers. Even the most classic decorations can be lightened by this shade.
If we mix beige and grey, we are playing with two neutral tones that convey different sensations. When they’re put together, the natural notes of sand, river bed or natural stone can be impregnated at our walls and upholstery. It creates a peaceful environment when combined with wooden floors.
Bet for greige
Walls are the easiest bet: greige can be used to lighten highly decorated ceilings, with classic lamps in gold and glass, and avoids shocking with the luxurious and antique effect. And it happens the same with rustic environments with heavy furniture, with a prominent presence of worked lumbers.
It will bring warmth in rooms with minimalist decoration, and will serve as a transition color to mix both cold and warm tones.
Rugs in this tone will give an unexpected touch to a room that already includes more vivid colors, and will also combine perfectly with wooden furniture in natural tones, with a raw appearance.
Regarding furniture, when combining greige with metallic appliques, darker woods or black tones the result in kitchens and rooms will hold a certain vintage, adult and sophisticated touch. And combined with light or slightly reddish woods it will bring a cozy and calming effect, in line with the trends linked to a quieter and more homelike life.
